Summer wouldn't be complete without the crack of the bat and fans cheering on their home team! 

2012 marks the 10th anniversary season of the Medicine Hat Mavericks in the Western Major Baseball League (WMBL). Their home opener is Friday, June 1, 7:05 pm vs. Okotoks Dawgs. The WMBL, Canada's preeminent baseball league, includes eleven teams in Alberta and Saskatchewan that showcase North America's top college prospects. The Mavericks play at Athletic Park, where you can enjoy competitive entertainment, baseball's finest foods and friendly faces.

Owner and General Manager Greg Morrison attributes the success of the Mavericks to the great support offered by the many businesses that sponsor the team, the host families who provide a summer home for the Mavericks players, the fans who cheer through thick and thin, rain or shine and his ever supportive family who take on countless thankless tasks to ensure there are games to be played every summer in Medicine Hat!
